Science Education and Outreach
Through TCIS’s Outreach program we aim to communicate, to students, teachers and the general public, the wonder and excitement of science and further, to motivate young people towards a deeper engagement with science. As part of outreach we organize visits by interested groups to our facilities.
Deep Learning, our initiative in schools of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), aims to get students to raise questions, and to link the textual and theoretical with practical and experiment-based science. Meet a Scientist is one program under this initiative. Another program involves promoting the use of foldscopes.
