Outreach programme for college students: Collaboration with VigyanShaala

TIFR Hyderabad joined forces with VigyanShaala International to organize a one-day science outreach programme for college students from Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree Colleges and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree Colleges.

The visit included lab tours, to give the students a sense of the research that takes place at the institute, interactions with faculty & PhD students and also an opportunity to try out simple experiments. A panel discussion on ‘Career opportunities in science’ followed.

By connecting with researchers and visiting the labs, students were encouraged to envision a future in research and explore careers in science and technology.
