Sawaal-Jawaab: Tales of a fly and a human-Understanding of biology and diseases
Dr. Manish Jaiswal started his talk with Darwin’s theory of evolution- “..the process by which modern organisms have descended from ancient organisms”. He went on to talks about clock mutants in Drosophila: a remarkable study by Seymour Benzer and Ronald Konopka which showed that genes regulated circadian rhythms.
