Meet a Researcher

In an effort to reach out to high school students, TIFR Hyderabad (TIFRH) set in motion a series of interactive sessions with researchers. This series was flagged off by Dhavala Suri, who is a condensed matter experimentalist at TIFRH. An alumnus of BITS Pilani, Goa and MIT, USA, Dhavala introduced some fundamental concepts that she deals with on a regular basis: a) Novel quantum material synthesis b) Nanofabrication c) Cryogenic measurements.

Apart from discussing about her work, Dhavala provided some valuable pointers regarding how students could opt for a research career, emphasizing that there is no dearth of resourceful research institutes in the country.
