National Facility for High-Field NMR:
TIFR Hyderabad, a centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, is a premier institute for the fundamental research in India. NMR in India and in TIFR has a long and a storied history. The establishment of the National Facility for High-Field NMR in 1983, with support from Department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, was one of the significant developments in the course of NMR research in India. In 2018, this facility moved to TIFR Hyderabad and now houses spectrometers that are available for scientists across the country.
Currently, three spectrometers for solution state experiments (700 MHz, 500 MHz, and 300 MHz), and three spectrometers for solid-state experiments (700 MHz, 600 MHz, and 500 MHz) are operational.
