Research
The Meta Photonics Laboratory (MPL) at TIFRH focuses on engineering of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale with a broad vision of realizing reconfigurable integrated nanophotonic platforms operating both in the classical and quantum regimes. Working at the interface of material science and photonics, our research seeks to explore diverse material systems from phase change chalcogenides to 2D materials and perovskites as well as various nanophotonic systems from topologically non-trivial dielectric metasurfaces to hyperbolic metasurfaces and non-Hermitian nanophotonic structures. We work in close collaboration with other research groups at TIFR as well as groups from other eminent institutions in India and abroad, bringing together complementary expertise to drive advances in photonics.
