Ongoing Research

In recent years, there has been growing interest in low-valent main Group elements owing to their application potential as reductants, unusual ligands, and precursors of nanomaterials and other novel molecular complexes. The current trend in low-valent main Group chemistry is to design compounds, capable of showing a reactivity such as small molecule activation and catalysis, which was previously reserved for transition metal complexes.

Our research is centered on the preparative molecular chemistry of the main Group elements (Group 13-15 elements). We are focused on the development and understanding of organometallic reagents and catalysis, and their application to the synthesis of various targets of potential significance.
